STA Lunch Talk: When Trusts Meet Divorce: Cross-Border Issues and the Treatment of Trust Assets in Matrimonial Proceedings

We are delighted to share the success of our first hybrid event on 17 April 2026, which brought together 84 legal professionals and practitioners for an in-depth discussion on the complex intersection of trusts and divorce across multiple jurisdictions.

Led in person by Wong Kai Yun, Senior Partner and Co-Head of the Family/Matrimonial Practice at Dentons Rodyk & Davidson LLP, the session also featured two expert speakers joining via Zoom:

Together, they explored key cross-border issues, including how trust assets are treated in matrimonial proceedings, variations in judicial approaches across Singapore, the UK, and the US, and practical strategies for navigating multi-jurisdictional disputes.
